Fixing

Our oven door hasn’t closed properly for ages.

So we’ve had a broom wedged in the handle to keep it closed and save energy.

But now it’s fixed.

I inserted kitchen foil shims underneath the hinges. They are about 1 mm thick. Now it seals closed perfectly and has saved us untold amounts of money on new hinges, service callouts etc.

And that’s all thanks to diligent engineers of the internet sharing advice and findings on some old school message board from 2012.
